Steiner Stock Farm sells its yearlings at various sales in and around Ohio
each year. Yearlings are sold primarily at the Ohio Selected Jug Sale
and the Buckeye Yearling Sale.
Yearlings are brought up from the pasture in late June/early July to be fit -
groomed and exercised daily - for the sales. The yearlings are shod taught to lead
and to stand cross-tied. They are also shod.
Yearling Inspection - Which One Do I Want?

Each day, potential buyers inspect the yearlings.
They look at pedigree and conformation.
They are also able to view the yearlings in motion on video.
Getting Ready - A Trip to the Beauty Parlor

The yearlings must look their best in the sale ring -
complete with braided manes, slick faces, and shiny feet.
Sell Time - Your Number is Up

The yearlings are walked to the sales ring to be sold to the highest bidder.
